Oak Ledger works with small and medium size businesses, entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals with the goal of saving them time, money and stress in managing the financial, accounting and planning aspects of their businesses.
Ultimately, we help business owners focus on what they do best by taking the stress out of managing the “books” and letting them focus on what they do best. We accomplish this by building efficient accounting systems that save time and provide practical information they can use to make sound business decisions. By assisting in all stages, from implementing to executing these practices, we aim to relieve the stress many of these aspects can place on their business.
Oak Ledger offers comprehensive Bookkeeping and Accounting solutions for Businesses and individuals across many industries and backgrounds. This includes but is not limited to dental practices, medical practices, technology companies, high net-worth entrepreneurs and families, landscaping companies, and so on. Their common denominator is needing accounting professionals they can trust and rely on so they don’t have to be experts in their trade and accounting/finance.
We recognize that not all businesses and individuals have exact financial needs, so we offer several services that are customizable depending on your individual needs. Our services are designed to suit the size and needs of your company, so you won’t have to pay for something you don’t need. With over 15 years of combined experience in various CPA, accounting, and leadership roles, we understand the importance of providing a wide breadth of knowledge regarding your in-house financial needs.
While we are based in the Triangle of North Carolina, we have clients nationwide. Our founder, Rachel, has been running her CPA firm virtually successfully for 6 years. Continuing this with Oak Ledger keeps the overhead low and our team adaptable!

Rachel Sutton, CPA
Founder & President
Rachel is an experienced CPA with over 11 years of accounting experience. 6 years ago Rachel went out on her own and hasn’t looked back. Rachel has a demonstrated history of becoming a valuable resource for every business and individual she has worked with. Rachel received her Master of Accounting from Chatham University after completing her undergrad at Ohio State University and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2016.

Caitlin joined Rachel Sutton CPA, PLLC in 2022 and brought 6 years of accounting experience most recently at Credit Suisse. She also brings extensive management and strategic planning experience. Caitlin is dedicated and committed to exceeding the needs of her clients which proves her to be an invaluable asset to any team she works with.
