Rachel Sutton
CPA Founder & Owner
Rachel Sutton has spent her career doing one thing really well — making the financial side of running a business clear, manageable, and stress-free for the people who trust her with it.
After earning her Master of Accounting from Chatham University and her CPA license in North Carolina in 2016, Rachel built her foundation at a couple of local Chapel Hill firms, gaining experience in both public accounting and business advisory work. Those years gave her something most accountants don't have — a deep understanding of both the technical side of accounting and the real-world challenges business owners face every day.
In 2017 she launched her own practice, and in 2022 rebranded as Oak Ledger when Caitlin joined as Co-Owner, reflecting the expanded team and their shared vision of being a true financial partner for small businesses.
Rachel's clients describe her as the kind of partner who gets it right the first time, explains complex financial matters in plain language, and shows up all year long — not just at tax time. She takes the time to understand each client's business and personal finances together, because she knows the two can't truly be separated.

Caitlin Fidler brings something most accounting firms can't offer — a background that bridges corporate finance, operational leadership, and genuine entrepreneurial instinct, all focused on helping small business owners move forward with clarity and confidence.
Before joining Oak Ledger, Caitlin built her career across compliance and credit risk management at Credit Suisse, audit at PYA, and operational leadership at TechnologyAdvice — where she built and led a high-performing team from the ground up. Across every role, the through line was the same: take something complex, make it work, and make it make sense.
When Caitlin joined Rachel in 2022 and Oak Ledger was born, she brought all of that experience into the service of small business owners who deserve the same level of financial rigor that large organizations take for granted.
At Oak Ledger, Caitlin goes beyond the numbers — helping clients connect business and personal finances, uncover blind spots, and identify opportunities for growth.
